Vintage Japanese Rice Bowls
This set comprises three charming vintage Japanese rice bowls, likely dating from the mid-20th century. Each bowl features a delicate white porcelain base adorned with a vibrant blue and red floral pattern, reminiscent of traditional Imari designs. The bowls exhibit a classic ‘chawan’ shape, ideal for serving rice or small portions of soup, and showcase the refined aesthetic often found in Japanese dining culture.
Condition
These bowls present with expected wear consistent with age and use, including minor surface scratches and slight variations in the glaze. Despite this, the vibrant colours and intricate patterns remain remarkably well-preserved, adding to their character and appeal. These bowls would be a delightful addition to a collection of Japanese ceramics or a unique touch to any dining table, offering a glimpse into a bygone era of craftsmanship.
