Beaconsfield Victuallers President’s Collar & Jewel
This is a striking antique collar and jewel, belonging to the President of the Beaconsfield & District Licensed Victuallers Protection Society. The collar is constructed from a vibrant blue ribbon, and features a detailed gilt metal jewel at the centre. The jewel is ornately decorated with imagery relating to the licensed victuallers trade, and bears the inscription “PRESIDENT & DIST. LICENSED VICTUALLERS PROTECTION SOCIETY”. The reverse of the jewel is stamped with details relating to the maker and date.
Condition & Collectibility
The collar and jewel show signs of age and wear, consistent with its antique status. The ribbon displays some fading and minor wear, while the jewel exhibits some light surface scratches and patina.
